In my role as a Senior English Instructor and curriculum developer, I worked on and taught a wide range of
English modules to elementary students. This included the American Wonders, Reading Street and Journeys
curricula, as well as a fair quantity of ESL courses.
I spent a considerable amount of time in researching and creating syllabus materials, such as worksheets, novel
comprehension activities, unit tests, and more. I regularly provided management with guidance on syllabus
planning and class operations.
YBM Cheongdahm Leaders International Academy; YBM Education Corporation
English education; Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul: March 2015 – August 2016
As an English language teacher at YBM, I delivered the American curriculum to elementary students. This
position was similar to my previous role at YBM PSA SEM, and included the Journeys and Trophies curricula.
There were summer and winter intensive courses, a considerable amount of lesson planning, as well as public
and international school intensive courses (predominantly Korea International School, Seoul International
School, and students returning from/going abroad).

As an English language teacher at YBM, I taught the American national curriculum to students between the

work involved. One of the highlights of this position was to prepare my students for an annual speech contest, in
which both first and second places were attained.
In addition to my day-to-day role, I taught a kindergarten class for a 6 month semester (Super Kids), extra
classes at YBM Learning Tree Preschool Academy (in conjunction with Cartoon Network Channel), as well as
three summer/winter intensive courses to international school students (particularly Korea International School
and BIS Canada pupils).

As an English Tutor at Direct English, I trained adults of all levels on a one-to-one basis, together with business

SK Telecom etc. The role involved business topic discussions to presentation preparation. I often supported
students with job-interview and university preparation, as well as TOEIC, TOEFL, IELTS, and OPIC training.
A large part of the objectives of this position was result-oriented, in which students expected success in
interviews, presentations, business meetings etc. Furthermore, my student booking rate (customer retention
rate) was amongst the highest.

Working as an Internal Account Manager at eSterling Ltd, the role involved a range of stages in the sales-cycle,
from B2B cold-calling in relation to marketing solutions, to the orchestration of director meetings. The position
entailed being influential in a prospect’s decision-making process and acquiring new business. I consistently met
all of my targets.

Insurance Sales; Birmingham, UK: August 2007 – January 2008
At Teleperformance, I sold Identity Theft Insurance (Privacy-Guard) on behalf of Affinion International Limited
and Barclaycard (outbound B2C telesales). Further to exceeding targets, I was the best performing salesperson
on the campaign out of 40 Sales Executives. I continuously outperformed throughout my stay, personally closing
an average of 25-30% of total campaign sales.

At Kirby, I worked part-time through university as a Telesales Representative. I retained the position of top
salesperson through selling a combination of products and services for Kirby machines. I also dealt with
